LINDSEY LAYZELL, MA LCMFT

While completing her undergraduate degree in interpersonal communications and public speaking, Lindsey developed a desire to help others communicate effectively and experience freedom in relationships.  This desire lead her to pursue a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy and Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary.  Her Master's degree has prepared her to integrate psychology and theology into the safety of the therapeutic relationship.

Lindsey has been in private practice since 2008 working with individual women navigating a variety of life challenges including depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, as well as processing past trauma and abuse. Her goal is to help clients gain freedom and wholeness through a relationship that is unconditionally accepting, safe, patient and trustworthy.

Lindsey is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT) in Kansas. She is a Level II trained Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist and a Level II trained EMDR therapist.

She currently lives in the Kansas City area with her husband and two sons.
